About the Wee Skep Beeswax Candle with Bees
A skep is a traditional beehive: a basket placed open end down, used in beekeeping for around 2,000 years, and in northern and western Europe made from coils of grass or straw. This one weighs just 30g.
Unlike heavily fragranced candles, beeswax has a naturally gentle scent that reflects the honey, pollen and flowers stored within the hive, and it can vary from batch to batch with the season and the forage available to the bees. No artificial scent or colouring is added. Beeswax candles are one of the oldest and most traditional products of the hive, valued for centuries for their beautiful light and their connection to traditional beekeeping.

Candle care
Trim the wick to 6mm before each burn. On the first burn, let the melt pool reach the outer edge to prevent tunnelling. Burn on a heat-safe surface, away from draughts, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
