Hello, Canonmills

Edinburgh Honey Co shop in Canonmills

We have some news, and you’ve probably already guessed it from the title: we’ve officially opened the doors in a brand new neighbourhood today.

Every new location we add is a chance for us to refine our craft and reach new people. And this spot is no exception. We are not just opening a new shop for people to buy a jar of honey; we are opening a space where we can share stories over a jar of honey. Ultimately, each new shop is just a new way for us to say hello to more of you.

Easter Road, where it all began

Thinking back to our early days on Easter Road always brings a massive wave of gratitude. It’s a wonderfully vibrant, bustling community, and it is truly where our neighbours taught us how to run a business. From day one, the community pushed us to be better at what we do. It wasn’t just about selling honey. It was about learning to listen, adapting to what the neighbourhood actually needed, and growing alongside the people around us. We are still there, of course, and we are incredibly grateful to those early regulars who challenged us, helped us refine our craft, and continue to support us nearly seven years later.

The Morningside rhythm

Then, just over a year ago, we brought that experience over to Morningside, and we were blown away by how instantly we were welcomed into the community. From the moment we opened our doors, the neighbourhood embraced us as one of their own. The best part of being here has been the incredible stories people share with us across the counter, reminding us that people aren’t just looking for a product. They are looking for connection, community, and a story they can trust.

Finding our feet in Canonmills

Which brings us to now, and our newest little spot in Canonmills, a place that felt like the right place for us to grow. Through our collaborations with neighbouring businesses, we’d seen the area’s appreciation for local food, craftsmanship and independent businesses, making it a natural fit for Edinburgh Honey Co. We want this shop to be more than just a place to pick up a jar. We are already planning tastings, workshops, and events. Our goal is to create a space where our neighbours, who are such a diverse, brilliant mix, can hang out, share a story, and learn a bit more about the craft.

Come say hello

Whether you have been with us since the Easter Road days, you are a Morningside regular, or we have never actually met in person, we would love for you to drop by. Come in, have a look, ask us whatever you want about the hives. Or just let us know how your day is going. We have been so lucky to be able to grow in such a diverse city. And we cannot wait to see you at the new spot.
